Short version: you only pay if you win. Outbid holds are released. Once a winning charge is captured, there are no refunds. We decide what goes on the header.

The auction
There is one live auction at a time for one 24-hour spot on our official X profile header. The highest authorized bid when the cycle closes wins. The winner’s handle, destination link, and logo are composited onto a 1500×500 banner and published until the next cycle starts.
Opening bids start at $10. After that, a new bid only needs to beat the current leader by at least $5. If a bid lands in the last five minutes, the clock may extend by two minutes. A new cycle starts automatically after each close.
Payments
When you place a bid, your card is authorized — a temporary hold — for that amount. You are not charged at that moment. Payments are processed by Razorpay for both Indian and international cards.
If someone outbids you, your hold is released automatically and you pay nothing. No capture, no refund wait, no fee.
Only the winning bidder is charged, when the cycle closes. If that capture fails, we may charge the next-highest bidder with a valid hold. Once a winning charge has been captured, it is final: no refunds, no exceptions. You are paying for the next header placement, which is delivered by publishing it on X.
Content rules
You must own the rights to any handle, link, logo, or image you submit.
We may reject or remove, at our sole discretion and without notice, any content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, deceptive, or that we simply do not want on the profile.
If your content is removed while the auction is still open, your hold is released. If something slips through and wins, we may withhold the post and the charge still stands.
The header is generated and posted as-is. Crop, compression, or timing differences on X are normal and are not grounds for a refund.
What you are buying
A 24-hour spot on this X profile header, posted once when the cycle settles. Nothing else is promised: no minimum reach, impressions, clicks, or engagement.
rentmybanner is a small project. If a header update is delayed for reasons beyond our control, it will be published as soon as possible. X may later limit, crop, or remove the banner; that is outside our control and is not a refund.
